Stephanie D. Maggard, L.Ac.

has been working in the field of acupuncture since 2005.  After receiving an Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree in Naturopathic Chemistry from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, she went on to study acupuncture and Oriental medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Licensed to practice in Alaska since 2008, Stephanie is the founder of AcuTribe Community Acupuncture where she provides acupuncture in a group setting, bringing together the healing energies of community members. In addition she provides private treatments at the Holistic Medical Clinic and Woodland Wellness Center in Fairbanks.  She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is trained and certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.  Stephanie is a current member of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) and has experience treating drug and alcohol addicts in rehabilitation.

"People often ask me why I returned to Alaska to practice and the answer is simple.  This is my home.  It is where I was born and raised and where I long to be every time I leave the state to further my education.  I returned to Alaska to offer the people of our communities an effective, affordable form of alternative healing and am honored to use my skills as an Oriental medicine provider to give back to a community that has given me so much."
